“The worst environmental disaster America has ever faced.”

On a hot summer evening in mid-June, Barack Obama downed seven cups of coffee, watched Armageddon and Independence Day back-to-back, and then held a press conference where he declared that the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill “the worst environmental disaster America has ever faced.”

Then a couple weeks later, it became clear to everyone that the politicians and the media were just stroking their boners over the whole thing. The call to action is just so damned exciting for the class of leaches that facts tend to become secondary.

Ah well, at least the oil has stopped gushing into the Gulf and the media can get back to whatever inane story they decide is worthy of our attention.

Actually, before that, it seems that CNN still has a bit of a chubby…

BP Oil Spill

CNN.com Quick Vote

Notice the possible options they give. It reminds me of choosing between Democrats and Republicans. Bomb Iraq or bomb Afghanistan.

For the sane among us, the lowest number of years we can select for the Gulf of Mexico recovering is somewhere under ten. I don’t like that range at all. Ten seems outrageous to me. How about two? Two years? How about one? That’s what I choose, one year. In fact, I’ve read in quite a few places that wildlife has already fully recovered from the spill. And that shouldn’t be a surprise since apparently there is hardly any remnants of oil left.

What amazes me even more is that 50% of respondents think that it will take generations for the gulf to recover–the entire gulf! FIFTY FREAKING PERCENT!

C’mon fifty percent, I realize you were likely educated in American public schools, but please knock some sense into yourself and get some perspective.

Fifteen percent of respondents claimed that the Gulf would never recover. Never. Not in a hundred years, or a hundred lifetimes. In 4 billion years when the sun becomes a red giant and grows so big that it consumes earth, the Gulf of Mexico will have the sweet release of definitive destruction to thank for finally ending its 4 billion years of utter misery and decay.

Emperor Obama extends State of Emergency

Obama extends state of emergency“I believe that one of the most important things that you can do as president is to take concrete steps to restore the rule of law in this country. I am sure that as a constitutional scholar you can appreciate that we must ensure that the Bush administration’s views of executive supremacy do not become so ingrained in our system of government that they become the ‘new normal’.” –Barack Obama, 2008 Presidential campaign trail

Happy Anniversary!

This week the American Empire enters its tenth year in a State of Emergency following the September 11th attacks in 2001.

September 10, 2010

Dear Madam Speaker: (Dear Mr. President:)

Section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act, 50 U.S.C. 1622(d), provides for the automatic termination of a national emergency unless, prior to the anniversary date of its declaration, the President publishes in the Federal Register and transmits to the Congress a notice stating that the emergency is to continue in effect beyond the anniversary date. Consistent with this provision, I have sent to the Federal Register the enclosed notice, stating that the emergency declared with respect to the terrorist attacks on the United States of September 11, 2001, is to continue in effect for an additional year.

The terrorist threat that led to the declaration on September 14, 2001, of a national emergency continues. For this reason, I have determined that it is necessary to continue in effect after September 14, 2010, the national emergency with respect to the terrorist threat.

Sincerely,

BARACK OBAMA

re: “You could have serious violence in places like Pakistan or Afghanistan.”

A couple of days ago, Emperor Barack Obama warned that the pastor in Gainesville would be responsible for “serious violence in places like Pakistan or Afghanistan” if he held his Quran burning protest on the 9th anniversary of 9-11. Consider the hypocrisy and the arrogance it must take to with one hand claim the right to drop bombs on people, and with the other reprimand a man for merely being ignorant and misguided.

In fact, we can look to Obama’s first hand to see exactly why there is serious violence in that region. Our attempts at empire are wearing thin and sufficient generations of non-Americans have had a sufficient number of mothers, fathers, grandparents, brothers, sisters and cousins killed by a product of the American Empire.

The violence directed towards us and our legion, at home and abroad, is a result of our aggressive foreign policy over the last few decades. Remember, this is violence that has been ongoing for a few decades. It’s not as if Pakistanis and Afghans knew there would would be a Quran burning in 2010 and so decided to preemptively retaliate. No, there must’ve been some other reason.

Here is list from Jim Cox’s lewrockwell.com piece of what might be getting all those Muslims a little upset:

1. The combined British/American overthrow of the democratically elected head of government in Iran in 1953, replacing him with the hated Shah and his secret police who the U.S. trained to murder thousands of Iranians.

2. In 1987 the U.S. militarily supported Saddam Hussein in the Iraqi war with Iran.

3. In 1988 the U.S. ship Vincennes, stationed in the Persian Gulf, shot down a commercial jetliner, killing 290 Iranian civilians.

4. After the Gulf War, the U.S. led an embargo against Iraq, allowing no humanitarian or medical aid. The results, according to UN estimates: 10,000 Iraqi deaths per month with the toll including more than 300,000 children. Then Secretary of State Madeleine Albright when asked said it was “worth it.” Albright never retracted her statement nor was it ever repudiated by an American president.

5. In 1998 President Clinton bombed an aspirin factory in Sudan. A number of totally innocent civilians were killed.

6. European armies, rather than native peoples, drew many of the borders in North Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and southwest Asia.

7. The Saudi government, the Kuwaiti government, and the Afghani government are actively supported with foreign aid by the U.S. despite the fact that they routinely oppress their people.

8. The war in Iraq since 2003 that has resulted in a minimum of 97,000 civilian deaths as well as the displacement of more than a million civilians.

9. The war in Afghanistan since 2001 that has resulted in a minimum of 6,000 civilian deaths.

10. Predator strikes in Yemen, Somalia, and Pakistan.

I’d like to throw in #11

Palestinian loss of land at the hands of Boobus Americanus

Palestinian loss of land from 1946 to 2000.

Well, at least we know exactly what infuriates these foreign people. Personally, I’d be pissed off at the Chinese if they invaded and occupied Maryland, killed thousands of Americans in the process, and installed a strongman dictator who oppressed Marylanders. But these silly Arabs are only upset when pastor Jones burns their holy book.

Such simpletons.

I suppose had the Quran burning gone through as scheduled, only then could we claim that we invited violence towards America by our actions. But until that happens, my argument is extraordinary to suggest.

Barack Obama knew healthcare costs would increase

There seem to be very few people these days who exhibit any sort of economic understanding beyond that of a second grader. That shouldn’t come as a surprise, since most people receive their education from state run schools (think about it, growing up, how many classes exposed you to real economics, and helped you to think critically on the subject?)

Shit, it’s not only average Americans who haven’t a clue about such a straight-forward and simple subject. Even Nobel Laureates and the former secretary of labor act like they were educated in the same economics graduate programs that produced the same failures who brought us this mess (I bet they were all classmates, even).

It’s easy to brush aside those two clowns, but it’s much more worrying that most Americans are so ignorant when it comes to economics. In the months leading up to the health care reform votes in the congress, President Obama and his PR team set out to cash in on that ignorance.

Only in such a system can our president rely on his constituents being so ignorant as to actually believe that insuring more people will bring costs down.

Simple laws of supply and demand are beyond the morons in that cheering audience.

Still, there were quite a few of us who understood exactly what this further increase in government-business partnership of healthcare would lead to; namely, higher costs. Tim Carney, of Campaign for Liberty provides the kind of insight that horny-for-Obama buffoons like Chris Matthews never could–and never would.

During Barack Obama’s news conference yesterday the President seemed to admit what he spent months desperately trying to deny, what the sane among us knew would be the case, and what is now being realized by the rest of this nation of boneheads.

What if Obama had said this in the months leading up to the historic legislation:

“As a consequence of us getting 30 million additional people healthcare, at the margins that’s going to increase our costs–we know that. We don’t think that we are going to cover 30 million people for free.”*

* Pay no attention to the fact that Obama then stutters out this ridiculous statement: “The long term trends in terms of how much the average family is going pay in health insurance is going to improve as a result of health care.”

What does that even mean? Is he suggesting that government innovation and efficiency is going to reduce the cost of health-care in the long run? It’s only their innovation that can save the system now!

“You could have serious violence in places like Pakistan or Afghanistan.”

Our esteemed leader seems very concerned about the backlash the now-canceled Quran burning might unleash in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Good for Obama, he is against violence. In fact…

but wait for it….

War in Pakistan
War in Yemen
Death in Afghanistan
Killing Pakistanis is like playing Halo
Explicit mention of civilians
More death

I know Boobus hates to read, so here are some youtube clips that may be of interest…

Ok, well Ron Paul thinks everyone is a warmonger. If he had it his way we’d be living in a sissy world were nobody kills anybody. Can we get some other opinions?

Hmm, alright. That radio talk show host is anti-Obama, ergo he must be pro-Republican ergo Boobus’ partisan preconceptions might block their ability to absorb the larger point.

Maybe we can try some a more conventional, mainstream news outlet…

Ok well, of course CNN makes me want to puke.

According to them, Emperor Obama is merely “exercising his authority as Commander in Chief,” he is not murdering anyone. Their brashness and inability to connect the dots is typical, but hey, at least they report it, even if they do try and instill in their viewers the notion that murdering people at the hands of America is completely acceptable.

Let’s get that nasty MSM taste out of our mouths….

Well, the United States is clearly going to be in perpetual war until the rest of the world is blessed with our bankruptcy and complete internal destruction (this is a certainty since the rulers of this empire are completely clueless when it comes to economics.)

In the meantime, our pathetic puppet of a president is going to keep claiming that he doesn’t want any serious violence in places like Pakistan or Afghanistan and expect us to believe it.
